On the ‘road‘ to an adventurous safari.

Beginning the journey at 6:00 AM on our first safari into Zone 3 of Gir National Park. The only sounds that greet us (apart from the jeep we were in) are the chirping of birds.

Approaching a riverbed often used by animals to quench their thirst. Will we be lucky enough to spot them?

The only thing we got a glimpse of was a crocodile Well, the tip of its nose is more accurate.

Our guide decides to walk off a bit towards a watchtower.

A watchtower for the guides to help spot animals easily. Even though we got to see the pug marks of a lion and hear a roar, we did not get to see any lions. Not that day anyway 😉
